Superstition Mountains

Here are two photos that I ruined while trying to get creative with coloration. They are both of the Superstition Mountains, taken about twenty miles apart from each other. The Superstitions are chock full of folk tales and urban legends, and quite a few real life mysteries to boot. If you are ever in Phoenix for any reason you owe it to yourself to make the forty-five minute drive to this mountain range, it is beautiful and mystical and can easily fill a day full of activities – driving winding roads or hiking stunning trails, spending time in one of several lakes or visiting one of the museums or ghost towns, you can even camp out and turn it into a memorable multiple-day excursion!
