Here are a few photos of the only body of water in Phoenix, Arizona. We have several lakes outside town, and a few dry river beds, but this beautiful bounty of water is smack dab in the middle of town. Okay, it’s actually in Tempe, but Tempe is basically just a district of Phoenix. This reservoir contains almost a billion gallons of water and was quite the engineering feat upon its completion. I took a few photos because open bodies of water are always fascinating to people who grew up in the desert.

I’m currently re-reading the Dune saga. If you haven’t read it, I recommend you do. I understand that there are some people out there who don’t like to read books, and if you’re one of those I’d encourage you to give it another shot. I suggest you jump into it with no expectations, just give the book a chance to captivate you. If you’re unsure of what book you should read, just reach out to a well-read friend and trust their recommendation. I read voraciously and I have since I was a child, and I’ve always failed to understand how someone can simply not like to read. There is something for everyone and your imagination is immensely more impressive than 8K or Imax or any of those newfangled moving-pictures technologies.

Thanks for dropping by, I hope you all are having a good day.
